Terrific at Two!

My baby boy turned two today at 6:01 PM. Rick and I have been blessed beyond measure the past two years with this little fella in our life. He is such a happy boy and brings joy to any room. We are so grateful that God chose US to be his parents and that He entrusted us with Connor's precious life. We are so undeserving of such an amazing opportunity, but we are so thankful!
Today, as we celebrated Connor's birth and the past two years of his life, I have reflected on all of the wonderful memories we have with him. We desire nothing more than to be the parent's God has called us to be specifically for this little guy. We are so thankful for every moment we have with him!
Thank you to each of you who have spent time speaking into our little guy's life! Thank you so much for taking time to love on Connor! We are forever indebted to you all for investing in him.

We haven't had Connor's 2 year old check up yet, but here are a few updates on the little guy.

*He has become quite the polite little boy lately. He says 'please, thank you daddy (insert name), yes ma'am, & God bless you.'

*He will sometimes say the prayer at the dinner table and before bedtime.

*He has acquired quite the imagination lately.

*He loves to 'help' me cook. If I am missing any of my cooking utensils or measuring cups, I can always find them on his play table.

*He really loves any type of vehicle (airplanes are a favorite these days, but he also loves trucks, & trains)

*He is a pretty healthy eater. He loves just about any fruit. He surprises us & eats the things we really don't expect him to (tortilla encrusted tilapia, guacamole, & lentil soup to name a few). He loves his miiiiiuullk (thank you to Kyler & Shaun for teaching him to say milk like they do on Tom & Jerry...so funny!) Don't get me wrong, he certainly LOVES chocolate & cheese pizza too! (and he can say both chocolate & pizza plain as day!)

*He is a pretty neat & tidy child. While he was unwrapping his birthday gifts, he would pull a piece of wrapping paper off, then hand it to someone or put it in the trash.

*He LOVES all things music; All sorts of instruments & loves to sing. He can entertain himself for hours with his guitar, keyboard & drums.

All in all, we think he's pretty perfect. We love him to pieces and we look forward to being his parents for many, many, many more years to come!
