We had heard lots about A Day Out with Thomas from friends that had taken their children, so when we saw it was coming to a 'town near us,' we bought our tickets and revved up for the big day. We had the wonderful opportunity to attend A Day Out with Thomas at Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL. It is a wonderful museum with a multitude of trains & history!
Here's Thomas!
We were told to arrive an hour before our departure, so Connor was able to watch Thomas steam down the tracks before it was our turn to ride...so happy to see Thomas in person!
While we waited for Sir Thopham Hat to arrive, we walked through one of the museum buildings to admire all the trains.
Connor & Daddy

After waiting in line, we finally go to meet Sir Thopham Hat!

Next, it was on to ride THOMAS!
It was humid on Saturday, so by this time Connor was already sweaty & worn out. As we were riding the train, he commented that he was a sleepy boy...
He did however have enough energy to stop off for a temporary tattoo...
Admiring his new Thomas tattoo...
One just wasn't enough...he got Rosie on his right arm too...
All in all, it was an excellent day! Connor had a blast & we thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the pure joy of a child enjoying something that he loves! Thank you Lita for going with us. I did not get a picture of you too...I got to get better at that!!!
